Michael Dunlop wins 2017 Senior TT

Furygan-supported Michael Dunlop has clinched his 15th TT success by winning Friday's restarted Senior TT race on the Isle of Man.

After an incredible four lap race around the Mountain course, Dunlop finished first ahead of Peter Hickman and Dean Harrison, who came second and third respectively.

Following Ian Hutchinson's accident, the race was red flagged and restarted with four laps instead of six. Dunlop took the early and maintained his advantage throughout.

Choosing to pit at the end of the second lap, Dunlop had opened up a gap of 9.2 seconds above him and second place contender, Peter Hickman.

Dunlop kept up his pace and extended his lead at the front to 13.3 seconds on the final lap, . This win marked his second victory of the week an his third in the blue riband event.

Dunlop now moves to fourth place in the all-time solo winners' list.

The seventh round of the MotoGP Championship took place at the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya on 9-11 June. Johann Zarco finished the race in fifth place. He's currently in sixth place in the MotoGP World Standing 2017 with 75 points.

In the Moto2 class, Iker Lecuona finished in 25th place aboard his Garage Plus Interwetten Kalex machine and in the Moto3 Championship, Jules Danilo completed one lap on his Honda but unfortunately did not finish the race.

In the French Promosport 400 Championship, Hugo de Cancellis took a double win in the races at Moto Club Pau Arnos.

The British Superbikes will be racing at Knockhill, Scotland and the World Superbikes will be racing at Misano, Italy on 16-18 June.

The MotoGP paddock will be taking a trip to Assen, Netherlands, on 23-25 June for the eighth round of the championship.
