Gimbert lifts the FSBK championship trophy while Zarco secures second for the sixth time

The French Superbike Championship drew to a close yesterday with a nail-biting final battle at Albi that saw Furygan’s Sebastien Gimbert claim the 2011 title. After a very successful season, Gimbert entered the last round with a strong lead over his closest rival and BMW teammate Erwan Nigon, who lay in second place in the championship standings.

Dramatic photo finish for Zarco as BSB riders battle in the rain

Furygan-supported Johann Zarco was part of an incredible photo finish at yesterday’s 125cc GP race at Sachsenring in Germany. After an exciting race-long battle between the top six riders, a breathtaking final lap saw Zarco make a move on Hector Faubel at the last corner, which resulted in the two riders crossing the line at the exact same time.
